Adom Kyei Dauh, the founder and leader of Believers Worship Center, has issued a stern warning to Ghanaians who have been speaking negatively about the statue erected in his honor.

The statue, unveiled a few weeks ago by some of his followers, sparked significant debate on social media. While some users expressed no issue with the statue, others criticized it, claiming that worshipping the statue was akin to idol worship.

In a recent address to his congregation, Adom Kyei Dauh defended the statue, urging those speaking ill of it to cease. He emphasized that statues are not necessarily linked to idol worship, pointing out that statues have long been used to honor notable figures like Kwame Nkrumah, Yaa Asantewaa, and other national heroes in Ghana, who have made significant contributions to society. According to him, statues are a form of tribute for individuals who have achieved greatness.

The man of God strongly asserted that he deserved a statue in recognition of his own contributions and good works. He went on to say that even if his followers had not chosen to erect the statue for him, he would have done so himself.

For Adom Kyei Dauh, the statue serves as a tribute to the impact he believes he has made, much like the statues of other prominent historical figures.

Adom Kyei Dauh also shared his thoughts on the absence of physical representations of biblical figures, like Jesus Christ, claiming that one reason for this could be the lack of statues to commemorate their legacies. He suggested that if statues had been constructed for these significant religious figures, people might have a better understanding of their physical appearance and contributions.
