Jack P Shepherd, widely recognised for his role as hairdresser David Platt on ITV's Coronation Street, has been a fixture on the show for over 25 years.

His character David has been embroiled in some gripping storylines, most recently being hit by a car during a scam in Weatherfield. The perpetrator fled the scene, leaving him lying in the road. Thankfully, the hit-and-run was not fatal, and his character survived.

Jack joined the cast in 2000, taking over the role of Gail and Martin Platt's mischievous son from Thomas Ormson, who portrayed David as a young child.

He has remained a constant presence on our screens since then, and despite his character's dubious actions over the years, viewers have grown fond of David, having watched him evolve over time, reports OK!

Following the path of his Corrie co-star Colson Smith, Jack has now entered the ITV Celebrity Big Brother house, joining the likes of EastEnders star Patsy Palmer, singer Chesney Hawkes, US YouTube sensation Jojo Siwa, Love Island's Chris Hughes, and Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke.
