Hon. Judith Nabakooba Named Among Uganda’s Top 63 Development Champions

As Uganda prepares to celebrate 63 years of independence and 39 years of President Yoweri Museveni’s leadership, Hon. Judith Nabakooba has been nominated for induction into the prestigious Great 63 Uganda Development Champions Journal. This recognition honors 63 distinguished individuals who have made significant contributions to Uganda’s development in alignment with the vision of President Museveni, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government, and Uganda Vision 2040.
Currently serving as Minister of Lands, Housing, and Urban Development, Nabakooba is being recognized for her unwavering dedication to public service and her pivotal role in championing national development initiatives. Her induction highlights not only her professional achievements but also her steadfast loyalty to President Museveni’s leadership and ideals.
Nabakooba’s career spans critical roles, including her tenure as Minister of Information and Communications Technology from 2019 to 2021, and as Public Relations Director of the Uganda Police Force. In her current ministerial position, she has spearheaded reforms to curb illegal land evictions and modernized the land registration system. Her leadership in the implementation of infrastructure projects like the USMID program has driven urban development and service delivery in key municipalities.
