Gregory Chillak’s Lack of a Job Caused Issues In His Relationship with Joan Kruchov

Greg’s lack of a job has caused drama with Joan, and fans have watched their issues play out during season 11 of the flagship series. One major issue was that he wasn’t able to afford the $3,000 bride price, also known as a dowry, that her family demanded he pay amid their engagement.
During episode 7, Joan’s family told her that she should encourage him to get a job. “He doesn’t take, like, work serious,” she responded.
During the same conversation, Joan told her family that she hadn’t “really talked to Greg about the dowry issue because we still have, like, our personal issues.”
