The Bombardier Global 8000 is an ultra-long-haul business jet designed and developed by Canadian manufacturer Bombardier Aerospace. The planemaker recently said that the aircraft is progressing well at the final assembly stage and is firmly planned for entry into service this year. The Global 8000 comes with a staggering price tag of $81 million.
Further customizations to the exterior and interior of the jet can cost an additional $5 to $10 million or more, depending on the extent of the work. When in service, the Global 8000 will be the fastest aircraft private jet with a maximum speed of Mach 0.94. The aircraft can fly a range of 8,000 nautical miles without refueling. Liberty Jet shows that the annual operating cost of a Global 8000 will be between $1.8 million and $2.9 million, depending on the use.
