Marvel fans gutted as new series quietly and abruptly cancelled

Seems that even the MCU's success couldn't save this one
Marvel has just revealed that a brand new series featuring Deadpool and Wolverine has been cancelled, and fans think it might be a bad sign for the media giant’s future.
As revealed by Marvel Comics' editor Tom Brevoort last week, the new Deadpool and Wolverine team-up series, Weapon X-Men, has already been cancelled.
It seems even the $1.3 billion generated by the Deadpool & WolverineMarvel Cinematic Universe film wasn’t enough to bolster the sales, as Brevoort stated the fifth issue of the comic would be its last.
Fans aren’t feeling too sympathetic about its failure, however. Over on the r/xmen subreddit, almost all of the comments are exclusively taking aim at Marvel’s editorial team for their poor attempts at advertising the comic.
“That's what happens when you launch 23 titles in 9 months, launch this title with three important and selling characters at the end, and you don't even call it X-Force,” commented user Scary_Firefighter181.
“Seriously, Brevoort? Thorne's book was launched at the forefront with an amazing artist with a bunch of C listers, but this book was ignored?”
“Yeesh, I haven't seen something get cancelled at five in a while. It must have seriously underperformed,” replied user Sovereignofthemist.
