Poor Cardiff City ratings as players overpowered and subs anonymous
Apr 13, 2025
Here's how the Cardiff City players rated during the disastrous defeat at home to Stoke City
Ethan Horvath 6
Nothing too much to take fault with, made a couple of decent saves. Arguably unlucky for the goal.
Perry Ng 6
Looked nervy at times, and was bailed out on a couple of occasions by his team-mates. Still, made a couple of decent tackles.
Will Fish 6
Can't be too heavily blamed for the goal. Made some decent defensive contributions throughout the afternoon.
Jesper Daland 6
Did okay for much of the afternoon. Decent presence in the air in particular.
Callum O'Dowda (c) 6
Played reasonably well. Had a couple of decent efforts on goal.
Calum Chambers 6
Again. Did okay in midfield. Tried hard to make something happen to no avail. Subbed.
Alex Robertson 5
Made a couple of decent tackles, but was overpowered in midfield at times.
Will Alves 5
Looked lively in moments, but nowhere near his usual level. Subbed.
Cian Ashford 5
Largely struggled to match the physicality of the visitors at times. Subbed.
Callum Robinson 4
Can't fault his work-rate, but didn't really have much of an impact on his return to the starting XI. Just didn't look after possession well enough. Subbed.
Yousef Salech 4
A pretty quiet outing from the Dane. Subbed.
Subs:
David Turnbull (on for Robinson 57) - Largely anonymous - 4
Ollie Tanner (on for Ashford 66) - As above - 4
