A former Hollywood child bride has opened up about her ex, branding him a "predator" following the end of their "toxic marriage."

Since remarrying, Courtney Stodden has been outspoken about Green Mile star Doug Hutchison, and hasn't held back. The controversial relationship made headlines, as Stodden, who is now non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, was just 16 when they began a relationship with the actor, who was 51. They met at an acting workshop, and, at the time, the pair decided to commit to each other and tied the knot in a Las Vegas chapel in 2011 with parental consent.

However, their relationship was far from perfect. Courtney has since revealed that they often felt "belittled" and "confused" during their time together. They also opened up about suffering from PTSD after the separation.

Looking back on their wedding, they shared: "I felt like I didn’t have any control over my own body, my own finances. I couldn’t sign any legal documents in that marriage. I couldn’t sign off on my own marriage, I was just so controlled."

Opening up about the psychological impact of the past relationship, Courtney candidly shared how they experienced emotional manipulation. Speaking honestly about the lasting effects of being involved with an older partner at such a young age, the reality TV star said: "But then I think that there’s this trauma bond that happens when you’re that age, right? I don’t want to say I had Stockholm Syndrome, but there’s this grooming. It’s the mental effects of grooming, where I didn’t want to believe."
