Gary Barlow has opened up about a touching yet bittersweet moment with his wife Dawn Andrews as they adjust to a big change in their life.

Take That singer Gary met Dawn when she was a dancer on the band's 1995 Nobody Else tour. The pair wed in 2000 and now share children Daniel, 24, Emily, 22 and 16-year-old Daisy together.

With their youngsters now grown up, Gary and Dawn are adjusting to life without them being around. Speaking to Scottish singer Lulu on her Turning Point podcast, Gary recalled a poignant moment when he and Dawn went out together without the children.

He said: "What's funny now is we'll get to Saturday night and we'll go out and we'll be sat, 'Is it just us?' 'Yeah, sorry, it's just me, is that alright?' It's going to have to be isn't it."

"We've done that, we've gone apart and we've come back together. It's kind of exciting."

Discussing their future plans, Gary, 54, revealed that he and Dawn often sit down to talk about their dreams and ambitions. He said: "We talk a lot about c*** and plans and the rest of it. We have our own little ambitions as a couple and we're designing the next 20 years of our lives and it's exciting."
