Meghan Trainor's husband Daryl Sabara reveals why they’re both taking Mounjaro together
Apr 14, 2025
The 'Made You Look' singer admitted to taking the controversial diabetes drug earlier this month
Meghan Trainor's use of the hotly-debated diabetes drug Mounjaro to shed a few pounds has subsequently become somewhat of a family affair.
It turns out that her husband, Spy Kids star Daryl Sabara also injects himself with the daily medication.
"Daryl and I both do everything together," the 'All About That Bass' singer revealed on the latest episode of their popular Workin’ On Itpodcast.
Apparently, however, the couple's decision to take Mounjaro wasn't spurred by vanity, or simply wanting to appear thinner during red carpet appearances. The pair allege that their reasoning stems from something a lot closer to their hearts.
For those in need of a reminder, the drug - which contains tirzepatide - was recently approved for weight loss management.
Mounjaro's primary use is, however, to treat the symptoms of type 2 diabetes, lowering blood sugar levels and targeting both the GLP-1 and GIP receptors that serve as the body's appetite-regulating hormones.
In an Instagram post shared earlier this month, Grammy-winner Trainor admitted she'd recently joined the ever-growing list of celebrities administering the drug, whilst showing off her newly trimmed-down physique.
"No, I don’t look like I did 10 years ago," she penned on 1 April.
