Espanyol secured a comfortable win over Celta Vigo in their recent outing after thrashing Rayo Vallecano 4-0 earlier this month at Estadio de Vallecas. Having recorded a draw in their last three home games in La Liga, Espanyol may have issues beating Jose Bordalas’ side on Friday night as both teams clash at RCDE Stadium.

Getafe opened the scoring with an early goal in their previous match against Las Palmas, but eventually they conceded three goals in the second half as the game ended 3-1 in favor of the visitors. However, they will face Espanyol in their upcoming match without their defender Diego Rico who was shown a red card in their last outing.

Both teams have been involved in a low-scoring affair in their last five games. Getafe, however, won back-to-back against Espanyol in their last two encounters, including a 1-0 win in their most recent meeting earlier this season.
