'Healthiest' crisps are low in fat, calories and salt - and they're 88p
Apr 15, 2025

If you're partial to a snack but still want to ensure you're not going overboard on nasty additives, then you'll want to take note of these healthier options

Crisps are the classic go-to snack for many people. Coming in so many different varieties and flavours, they're available in every supermarket - but they are not always the healthiest.
Some varieties can be really high in salt and fat, and if they're fried rather than baked, then it often makes matters worse. However, if you're still partial to a crisp but want to enjoy them in a healthier, more balanced way, then good news.
The experts at Women's Health have identified the best packets of crisps you can eat that will ensure you stay on track with your goals - and one of them costs just 88p. The experts say that if you're looking for a healthier alternative to potato crisps - which are usually fried in oil - then chickpea crisps are a good way to go.
They've hailed Hippeas as a great brand to enjoy 'one crunch at a time'. These sweet and smoky chickpea puffs are gluten-free, high in fibre, and only 91 calories for a packet.
Even better, they're 88p when you buy from Ocado. They're also free from MSG and artificial preservatives, and the main ingredient is chickpea flour, which is lower in carbs and calories than normal wheat flour yet higher in protein and fibre.
