ISWAP Strikes Again, Blows Mandafuma Bridges To Smithereens [FULL ACCOUNT Inside]
Apr 16, 2025
In a disturbing act of violence, members of the Islamic State' s West Africa Province (ISWAP) have reportedly destroyed the Mandafuma Bridge, a crucial infrastructure link in Borno State, Nigeria. The attack took place around 2: 20 AM on Tuesday, April 15, as confirmed by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
According to Makama, the terrorists utilized an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) to carry out the destruction on the Biu- Damboa road. The explosion led to the complete obliteration of the bridge, which served as a vital connection between Mandafuma Village and Biu Town. This targeted act of terrorism is believed to be aimed at disrupting the movement of passengers and vehicles along this busy route.
In a post shared on social media platform X, Makama emphasized the broader implications of the attack, noting that it not only obstructs civilian travel but also hampers military operations in the region. The destruction of the bridge complicates logistics for military reinforcements attempting to navigate through the area, thereby increasing vulnerability to further attacks.
" This act of terrorism was aimed at disrupting movement along the route, impeding access for both motorists and passengers. It also serves to hinder military reinforcements travelling through the area, " Makama wrote.
