Julius Maddox continues to show off his super-human strength on the bench.
is working toward his new goal on the bench press while hitting new marks along the way. The MHP powerlifter continues to display his insane strength during training session and this includes hitting a new rep PR. During a recent workout, Maddox was able to put up 501 pounds 17 times.
Maddox currently holds the all-time bench press mark, which he set at 782 pounds in February 2021 during the World Raw Powerlifting Federation Hybrid Showdown III. From this moment on, he set his sights on being the first man to bench press 800 pounds raw. He attempted this challenge for the first time in 2021 at Wrigley Field but ended with two failed attempts. This was the second time that Maddox loaded up 800 pounds. In 2020, he suffered an injury during an attempt because the bar was misloaded.
In March, Maddox completed a 737-pound bench press during a training session in the United Arab Emirates. There is no current timeline on when, or if, he will pursue the 800-pound lift but by the looks of his recent workouts, Maddox is making sure he is in the best position possible.
