A woman who shockingly gouged out her own eyes during a meth-induced psychotic episode has said she has "no regrets" after being sacked from her job. Kaylee Muthart, who became blind due to the horrifying self-mutilation, believed at the time that her actions would save the world and bring her closer to God.

The former straight-A student was just 20 when she crushed her eyeballs in February 2018 – mere days before she was set to enter rehab. She had fallen into drug abuse after getting involved with the wrong crowd, but since her gruesome act, she's shown incredible positivity, crediting the disturbing incident with forcing her to quit meth and get clean.

Her positive outlook led her to master braille and technologies, and even land a job washing dishes at a restaurant in Florida. However, she recently revealed that she was "fired" in December for feeding a cat.

She shared with her Facebook followers how she was feeding a mother cat and her eight kittens outside The Rose Villa restaurant. But according to Kaylee, the property manager ordered her to stop.

Despite asking if the cat could be gradually weaned off the food, she was fired for continuing to provide meals. The restaurant did not respond to these claims at the time, reports the Mirror.
