Google’s Gemini Live with camera and screen share comes to all Android app users
Apr 17, 2025
Google’s Gemini Live feature lets people make use of the search giant’s AI model functions in real time, as well as share their screen for instant results
Google announced that all Gemini users with the Android app will be able to use Gemini Live with their camera or through screen sharing, meaning they can get instant AI-powered results for their search or phone activity.
The feature was previously paywalled and reserved for Advanced plan users on Android in the Gemini app, but is now being rolled out to non-paying users as well.
With the screen sharing and camera features on Google’s Gemini Live, users can ask questions, get voice-based guidance, record and analyse conversations in real time, brainstorm ideas with an AI assistant, look up content on their screen, or look up objects in the world around them.
“We’ve been hearing great feedback on Gemini Live with camera and screen share, so we decided to bring it to more people ✨ Starting today and over the coming weeks, we’re rolling it out to *all* @Android users with the Gemini app. Enjoy!” posted the Google Gemini app on X, encouraging users to download the app through its official link.
