Naana Hayford, known for her roles in classics like Crime to Christ, The Beast (2010), and Hotel Babylon (2012), received a special citation in recognition of her legacy. She was warmly welcomed by fellow actors including Mike Afrane, Wayoosi, and Miracle Films' Samuel Nyamekye. Footage from the event showed the actress arriving gracefully, warmly engaging with guests, and later being assisted into her car.
Despite her age, Naana Hayford captivated attendees with her poise and timeless beauty, earning admiration from fans and colleagues alike. She is celebrated as one of the stalwarts of Ghana’s golden cinema era, alongside legends like Santo, Abusuapanin Judas, and Grace Omaboe (Maame Dokono).
Beyond acting, she has hosted programs on prominent media platforms such as Fox FM, Ashh FM, and Kessben FM. In 2017, she survived a traumatic robbery attempt that nearly cost her life.
Her presence at AshantiFest was a heartfelt reminder of her resilience, elegance, and enduring impact on Ghanaian entertainment.
