Gardeners' World star Adam Frost says his long-term wife Sulina won't let him sign up to Strictly Come Dancing, due to the notorious curse associated with the BBC show.

The so-called curse is a term used to describe relationship breakdowns that can occur amongst contestants or professionals, during or shortly after they've competed on the show.

"I don't think Mrs Frost would let me go on Strictly because of the curse thing," he laughed, while clarifying that this was not a matter of trust issues.

He continued: "I think sometimes you get put in a box, [but] yeah I would [do a reality show].

"I go on a live stage [on tour] and if you came and saw me on a stage you'd think, 'Oh right, this is a very different Adam Frost', because I tell lots of naughty stories."

Without any interruption or someone cutting him short on stage, Adam likened himself to "the little boy that was getting told off at school for messing around and talking too much".

After meeting Sulina in the 1990s, they went on to marry and have four children together; Abi-Jade, Jacob, Amber-Lily, and Oakley.

Adam generally opts out of putting his family in the spotlight, however delighted fans last year when he shared a rare snap with Sulina.
