9 Grocery Stores Where Seniors Can Score Discounts
Apr 24, 2025
Grocery shopping can get expensive, especially on a fixed income, but for seniors, a little planning can lead to real savings. Many grocery stores across the U.S. offer specific discounts on certain days of the week. Knowing where and when those deals happen can help make the most of each trip.

American Discount Foods

In Arizona, American Discount Foods is where savvy shoppers can find some great deals. On Mondays, seniors aged 62 and up get a 10% discount on all groceries. The store has two locations in Mesa and Apache Junction. It specializes in overstocks, short-coded items, and discontinued products, often selling them at prices far lower than usual.

DeCicco Family Markets

Every Wednesday, seniors 62 and older can grab a 5% discount at DeCicco Family Markets, which has locations in Westchester and Rockland counties, New York. To snag the deal, seniors need to register for a DeCicco Preferred Shopper Card and show ID for eligibility. It's a simple way to save, though the discount doesn't apply to certain items like alcohol or sale goods.

Food Bazaar Supermarket

Seniors 65 and older can enjoy a 10% discount at Food Bazaar Supermarket, available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All it takes is a quick ID check at checkout to save on your grocery run. For New York City residents, Food Bazaar also partners with the IDNYC program, which offers an extra 5% off for cardholders.
