African Schools Championship: Ghana U15 Boys fightback to beat Uganda to clinch Bronze
Apr 26, 2025
Ghana U15 boys national team failed to make the 'host and win ' happen but managed to clinch bronze at the just ended CAF African Schools Championship after a 2-1 win over Uganda earlier today
The game at the University of Ghana Stadium was a very difficult one for the hosts having conceded first in the game.
Coach Kwaku Danso stayed on his feet issuing instructions to his players until getting the leveller before Hakeem Kasim scored the precious winner in the 33rd minute to win the game to at least hand Ghanaians a prize in the competition.
The U15 boys really had a stellar run in the competition having taking down countries like Uganda, South Africa and Algeria in the first round before losing painfully in the semi-final to holders Tanzania - who eventually are once again the champions of this year's edition with a penalty shootouts win over Senegal.
Ghana after finishing in third place have pocketed $150,000 as cash prize and majority of these youngsters will be expected to be seen in the Black Starlets going forward
