KUCCPS Admission Letters Guide: How to Getting Your Placement Letters
Apr 26, 2025
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) manages the placement in universities, colleges, and training institutions for qualified students across Kenya.
After placement, students are required to download their official admission letters for the entry into institutions.
Log into the KUCCPS student portal with your KCSE index number and year of exams to begin the process.
The password defaults to either the birth certificate number or the KCPE index number. After logging in, students should navigate to the "Admission Letter" section of the portal.
Successful candidates will then find their placement details on the site with a link to view and download the admission letter.
This is necessary to print since it will be required in the registration process in that institution.
KUCCPS therefore encourages a frequent visit to the portal by an applicant for updates on changes in their status of placement.
On the contrary, a fresh admission letter is supposed to be issued by the receiving institution, to students who have requested and been approved for inter-institution transfers.
This transfer letters can also be accessed via the KUCCPS portal once approved.
However, the application is still done through the KUCCPS portal regarding application to medical training colleges like the KMTC despite having no particular platform for the institutions.
