10 Best Designed Poison-Type Pokemon, Ranked
Apr 28, 2025
Poison-types were more common than any other type of Pokémon in PokémonRed, Blue, and Yellow. While this is no longer true, it's for the best, as the typing has come to value quality over quantity. This is best represented by the fact that Generation VIII and Generation IX didn't introduce too many Poison Pokémon, but were the first generations to introduce Poison-type Legendary Pokémon.
Poison-type Pokémon designs have only gotten more creative as the franchise has gone on. While primarily representative of toxins and garbage, Poison Pokémon are diverse and versatile creatures that can look like just about anything. Poison Pokémon can be cool or cute, gross or beautiful, and sometimes even among the most popular Pokémon from their respective regions, based on their design alone.
10 Crobat is Far Cooler Than Either of its Pre-Evolutions
It's Hard to Imagine Zubat and Golbat Ever Existed On Their Own
Crobat is a stand-out addition to the Pokédex from Generation II. While Kanto's Zubat and Golbat were underwhelming on their own as an evolutionary line, Crobat was the awesome final evolution they always needed. Crobat's design is more basic than either of its predecessors, but that doesn't stop it from looking many times better than either of them.
