Apr 30, 2025
It can be a seriously frustrating situation when your washing machine stops working efficiently.
Fortunately if you’re sporting an LG washing machine then you won’t need to second guess what might be wrong with your appliance. Instead, you’ll see an error code displayed on the device’s LCD panel, which tells you what’s going wrong.
So if you’re constantly seeing the fault code ie or 03 and are not sure what to do then we’re here to help. To avoid you having to search around for the manual, we’ve listed all of the LG washing machine error codes and explained what they mean, to help you see what’s really wrong with your machine.
Time for an upgrade? Our guide to the best washing machines features the top-rated appliances as tested by our experts.

Code ie (IE)

If you see the error code “ie” on your LG washing machine then this means that either the correct water level was not reached within eight minutes or the preset level was not reached within 20 minutes.
Fortunately, solving this isn’t difficult and requires you to check that the water supply valve is fully open. Then, check the inlet hose for any kinks of blockages which might be affecting the water reserve. If the valve is open and there are no obvious kinks in the hose then this means the inlet valve may need replacing.
