In a striking confrontation within the Ghanaian media landscape, prominent media personality Kwame Djokoto has publicly condemned fellow journalist Captain Smart, alleging personal attacks and questioning his integrity. The tension escalated when Djokoto, a vocal supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), became aware of disparaging comments made by Captain Smart during a recent television broadcast.

Djokoto revealed that he was alerted to the situation through calls from friends and family, who informed him that Captain Smart had made derogatory remarks, including claims that Djokoto's career was "dead." In response, Djokoto expressed his discontent, emphasizing the importance of respectful dialogue in media discourse. “I received calls saying Captain Smart has been insulting me. Please, send him a warning from me—that I work with respect. He insulted me, but I don’t want to engage with him,” Djokoto stated, highlighting his preference for constructive conversations over personal attacks.

Taking the conflict a step further, Djokoto accused Captain Smart of having a troubled past, alleging that he had faced multiple criminal allegations during his tenure at Fox FM in Kumasi. “When you worked at Fox FM, let’s go and check the police reports—there were plenty of criminal cases about you. Have you ever heard of any criminal allegations against me?” he challenged, casting doubt on Captain Smart’s credibility as a media figure.
