Real Madrid transfer news: Los Blancos 'eyeing summer move' for 22-year-old defender
May 3, 2025
Real Madrid are reportedly considering making a move for Real Sociedad defender Jon Aramburu during this summer's transfer window.
The 22-year-old has been a key player for La Real during the 2024-25 campaign, making 44 appearances in all competitions, contributing one goal and one assist, including 30 outings in the top flight of Spanish football.
Aramburu signed a contract extension with Real Sociedad in January 2025, with his contract now running until June 2030, but there is currently speculation surrounding his future in the Spanish capital.
According to Fichajes, Real Madrid have identified Aramburu as a transfer target, with Los Blancos hugely impressed by his performances for his Basque outfit during the current season.
The report claims that Aramburu's ability to play all across the back four has made him extremely attractive for Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants looking to boost their defensive options for next term.
Real Madrid 'interested in signing' Real Sociedad's Aramburu
Aramburu made his first-team debut for Real Sociedad in November 2023, and he has represented the club on 59 occasions in all competitions, while he has also been capped 13 times by Venezuela.
Although primarily a right-back, Aramburu has featured as a left-back for La Real this term, while he is capable of operating in the middle of the defence, making him an interesting squad option for Real Madrid.
