Christine Lampard opened up about having a blended family with Frank Lampard. Football star Frank met the then Christine Bleakley at The Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain Awards in London back in October 2009 and they went on to tie the knot in 2015.
Fast forward 16 years and the love birds are happily married, sharing two children - Patricia, 6, and Freddie, 4 - while Frank also has teenagers Luna, 19, and Isla, 17, from a previous relationship with Spanish model Elen Rivas. In a new interview, ITV star Christine talked about what it's like having a blended family, saying it quickly felt 'normal'.
However, it wasn't always as simple as she admitted to The Sun: "It’s hard for all parties, that’s the truth. It can be difficult when there is emotion involved.
“You have to navigate everyone’s feelings and not just think about yourself in order to try to make it a happy ship. What I would say is you can absolutely get there. Some people have awful times, but then it’s brilliant."
She went on to say it's important to prioritise the children and added she 'never stepped out on any boundaries'.
Frank recently discussed his family life with Chirstine as he explained how having two young children "does bring responsibilities", before praising Christine for having her successful career while "pretty much being a full-time mum."
