Four Necessary Lions Squad Changes As Big Announcement Looms

When push comes to shove, we find ourselves agreeing with Lawrence Dallaglio. Lions squad selection season can bring people together, too.
The England and Lions legend was at Aviva Stadium, on Saturday, to witness Henry Pollock help dismantle Leinster's latest Champions Cup challenge. Dallaglio loved what he saw from the Northampton flanker, but would still want Jac Morgan, Tom Curry, Ben Earl or Josh van der Flier in Lions red, this summer.
I was also at that Saints semi-final win over Leinster, and am now convinced Henry Pollock should be a tourist. For me, he bumps the unfortunate Ben Curry from the squad I selected after the 2025 Six Nations. What I do agree with Dallaglio on is that Owen Farrell should tour, and Sam Prendergast does not merit inclusion.
Elsewhere, there are two other changes from the squad I selected in March. Mack Hansen comes in for Marcus Smith and James Ryan replaces the injured England lock George Martin.
