Thomas Law first appeared on EastEnders nearly 20 years ago
EastEnders' Peter Beale has been a constant presence on the BBC One soap for 32 years, with Thomas Law currently playing the role.
The character was first introduced in 1993 as the son of Ian (portrayed by Adam Woodyatt) and Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), and twin to his now-deceased sister Lucy.
Over the past three decades, Peter has been embroiled in several major storylines, including the shocking return of Cindy after 25 years, despite her character being killed off.
Thomas originally played Peter between 2006 and 2010 and thrilled fans when he reprised the role for a second time in 2023.
In an exciting twist that delighted EastEnders fans, Thomas returned as Peter as part of Cindy's dramatic comeback storyline. Now, let's delve into Thomas' life outside of the Albert Square drama, reports Plymouth Live.
Thomas, 32, is originally from Hertfordshire and grew up in Potters Bar with his parents and two older sisters. He shot to fame after securing the role of Peter Beale on EastEnders in 2006.
However, he left the BBC soap in 2010, with Ben Hardy assuming the role from 2013 until 2015, before Dayle Hudson took over for two years in 2020.
During his hiatus from the soap, Thomas continued his acting career and featured in several ITV dramas, including playing DC Eddie Martin in The Bay from 2021 until this year.
