Jodie Turner-Smith stepped out in an equestrian-inspired Burberry look for the 2025 Met Gala in New York City
The actress's look paid homage to a portrait of Black equestrian Selina Lazevski, "who lived during the Belle Époch in Paris and was photographed by Paul Nader in 1891," per a release

The 2022 PEOPLE's Best Dressed star, 38, made another glam appearance on the steps of New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 5, turning heads in a Burberry look that takes its inspiration from a Belle Époch-era equestrian.
According to a Burberry press release obtained by Turner's burgundy leather outfit and top hat pay "homage to a portrait of Selina Lazevski, a Black Equestrian who lived during the Belle Époch in Paris and was photographed by Paul Nader in 1891."
"The coat's cinched waist and bustle reference the Victorian silhouette captured in Lazevski's portrait, switching traditional tailoring fabrics for leather embossed with an ornate floral design," the release continues.
According to another Burberry press release, stylist Law Roach — known for his collaborations with Zendaya — assisted the brand to bring Turner's whole look together.
