Isaac Dixon (Jeffrey Wright) has been introduced as a powerful leader and formidable antagonist in The Last of Us season 2.

Isaac Dixon is a former FEDRA soldier and the current leader of the Washington Liberation Front – a rebel militia that has taken control of the quarantine zone in Seattle, Washington.

Jeffrey Wright played the role of Isaac in both the show and The Last of Us: Part II video game.

He’s been acting professionally in television and film since the early ‘90s and his work has spanned over a wide array of genres. Some of his major roles include Beetee in The Hunger Games franchise, Bernard Lowe in Westworld and Lt. James Gordon in The Batman. He’s also had roles in Angels in America, Casino Royale, Boardwalk Empire, BoJack Horseman and more.

“We were very excited when we were able to cast Jeffrey Wright, so it made complete sense to us to bring him back in the same exact role because, unlike some of the other casting choices in the game, he is the right age, he does have the right look,” Neil Druckmann, who is the cocreator of the show and the video game, explained in an HBO behind-the-scenes featurette. “It had to be this larger-than-life character. It felt like such a sweet opportunity that I, as a fan of the story, love, and I’m sure fans of the game will eat it up.”
