Keychron K2 HE review – Is this the best-looking keyboard on the market?
May 7, 2025
The Keychron K2 HE is beautiful inside and out, with unmistakable stylings and a fantastic typing experience to match — here’s our full review
It’s not often I see a keyboard and immediately swoon. That might sound hyperbolic (and I do have a small army of keyboards to call upon now), but the Keychron K2 HE is quite possibly the best-looking keyboard I’ve ever used.
The subtle wood-panelling, along with the matching ESC key, makes it eye-catching right off the bat, and that’s to say nothing of how nice it feels to type on while being much more portable than the Q6 Max I recently tested.
It really might be one of the best boards around, and its beauty is much more than skin deep. Here's why.
Classy clack
Starting with the design, the K2 HE is a compact keyboard that’s pretty lightweight, despite looking like it’d be heavier than it is.
A big part of that is the wood on each side, which really does add a touch of class to any desk setup, with the ESC key also in brown (the board is also available in white).
I will say I’m a smidge disappointed the enter key isn’t the same colour, as on the US version of the board, but it’s still so good-looking that it feels like the Zoolander of keyboards.
There’s a full function row, and Keychron’s managed to squeeze a screenshot button and more on the side.
