Filipino P-pop girl group BINI on Thursday night issued a statement addressing a viral video that featured some of its members in a controversial situation.

In an official statement released through their social media platforms, BINI apologized for the incident and acknowledged the backlash from fans.

"We know that the past couple of days have been triggering and disappointing for all of you. Sincerely, we understand where all of those feelings are coming from,” the group said.

They clarified that the video showed a personal moment with friends and stressed that there was no intention to offend or hurt anyone.

“The video shows a private moment of us with friends. We definitely did not intend to hurt anyone in the process. We offer no excuse for our actions, reactions, and choice of words. We take full accountability. Nagkamali kami,” they added.

Prior to BINI’s official statement, the fan page Bloom Philippines posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, voicing concern over the circulating video and urging the group and their management to respond.

"We respectfully urge BINI and their management to openly address this issue, demonstrate responsibility, and reaffirm their commitment to empowering and uplifting women"

BINI said it "deeply regrets" its mistake and humbly ask for a chance to learn from this and continue working to become better versions of ourselves.
