The 2021 film The Suicide Squad introduced fans to the anti-hero Peacemaker played by John Cena. The character garnered love and James Gunn decided to give Peacemaker his own show of the same name.

The Peacemaker season 1 released in 2022 to rave reviews and became a massive streaming success.

Now three years later, its season two is coming out. However, a lot has changed for DC films since then.

Peacemaker season 1 released as a part of DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and now Peacemaker season 2 will release when DCEU is defunct and DCU has been kickstarted with Creature Commandos in 2024.

This led to fans wondering how John Cena’s Peacemaker will transition from DCEU to DCU considering most of the DCEU characters have been recast by James Gunn who plans to reboot the superhero universe.

Well, Peacemaker season 2 teaser trailer was recently released and a shot in it has more or less made it clear how that’s going to happen.

The final shot of Peacemaker season 2 features John Cena’s Christopher Smith coming face-to-face with another Christopher Smith.

Reacting to it, one fan wrote, “okay what if this is actually the DCU Peacemaker and that's how our Peacemaker ends up in the DCU”.
