Damian Lewis made a poignant appearance at the 2025 BAFTA Television Awards on Sunday, 11 May, stepping out with his two children, Manon, 18, and Gulliver, 17. The family outing comes just four years after the death of his wife, Helen McCrory.
The Wolf Hall star, 54, was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of King Henry VIII in Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light, the much-anticipated sequel to the award-winning original. Though he missed out on the award, all eyes were on his heartwarming appearance with his rarely-seen children.
Dressed sharply in a classic black suit and skinny tie, Lewis cut a dashing figure on the red carpet. His daughter Manon looked effortlessly elegant in a black halter-neck gown, paired with black suede heels and a touch of sparkle in the form of a gold bag. Meanwhile, Gulliver, who bears a striking resemblance to his father, matched him in a tailored suit and white shirt.
This marks one of the few public outings the trio have made together since McCrory's death in April 2021, following a private battle with breast cancer. She was 52.
Lewis, who was married to the Peaky Blinders actress for 14 years, has spoken candidly about the grief of losing her and the strength she instilled in their children. In a moving tribute published in The Times, he wrote that his wife had wanted him to find love again.
