Immaculata rallies late to reach Somerset County final - Softball recap

Heather Ryden went 4-for-4, stole four bases, and scored four runs as fifth-seeded Immaculata continued its quest for a repeat, traveling on the road to defeat Pingry 13-9 in the Somerset County Tournament semifinals.
Pingry (15-2) and Immaculata (10-10) went back and forth for the first few innings, with Pingry holding a two-run lead after the fourth. Immaculata pushed across three runs in both of the final two innings to reach the final for the second straight year.
Madeline Tavaglione launched a home run and drove in three RBIs for Immaculata. Mollie Ferreira added another three RBIs, and Maddie Falvey struck out eight hitters as she pitched a complete game.
Immaculata will find out its opponent in the final tomorrow, when 12th-seeded Bound Brook faces top-seeded Watchung Hills, ranked No. 13 in NJ.com’s latest Top 20. The final will take place on Friday.
