The thought of upgrading your phone can be both exciting and slightly stressful. Phones seem to be getting more expensive, and the upgrade options seem endless. But Verizon has got you covered with a new trade-in deal.

Through this offer, new and existing customers on Verizon's Unlimited myPlans can trade in any phone and receive a free new phone of their choosing. There are quite a few options to choose from, such as the iPhone 16 Pro, the Samsung Galaxy S25, and the Google Pixel 9 Pro (all of which we've reviewed and recommend).

There are a few stipulations, however. To trade in a phone, it must be a recent Apple, Samsung, or Google model, usually no more than 5 years old. After you trade in the phone, the credits will go toward your new smartphone of choice. These credits are paid in 36 monthly installments, so you must commit to the plan for 3 years. Verizon does offer a price lock for 3 years, so your plan won't get more expensive.

The iPhone 16 Pro, launched last September, comes with new features like Apple Intelligence -- the phone has a Siri model that can access ChatGPT, an emoji and image generator, and a thoughtful email reply.
