The defender of Ghanaian descent has parted ways with the German third-tier outfit, with a move to second division side FC Kaiserslautern set to be completed in the summer
German-born Ghanaian centre-back Maxwell Gyamfi has severed ties with 3. Liga side VfL Osnabrück after spending three seasons together in the German football contests.
The 25-year-old has made over 100 appearances for The Purple-Whites since joining them from Hamburger SV ll in 2022.
ln bidding a farewell to Gyamfi, those in charge of the Stadion an der Bremer Brücke have said via their club's official website as they release four on-loan players at the end of this football campaign: ''In addition to the loan players, Maxwell Gyamfi also received a farewell. In addition to the photo collage, Gyamfi also received a jersey in recognition of over 100 appearances for VfL. In the summer of 2022, the defender moved from the second team of Hamburger SV in the Regionalliga to VfL and immediately became a regular starter. In his three years there, Max made 103 appearances and played more than 8,500 minutes for VfL. In the second division season, he captained the team 28 times. The 2022/23 promotion to the 2. Bundesliga and the 2023 State Cup victory, which he would like to repeat this year, will remain in the memories of every VfL fan.''
