A Lightning Rod in Grow a Garden is a useful, albeit a little rare, piece of equipment you can use to influence how a specific type of weather behaves in your garden.

As you probably know, weather events can cause crop mutations in Grow a Garden but they're often random. So, how useful would it be if there was a piece of equipment that can control what crops mutate during thunderstorms? Very useful I'd say.

In Grow a Garden you can buy the Lightning Rod from Eloise at the Gear shop for 1,000,000 Sheckles. Also, the Lightning Rod can only be used three times before it's destroyed, you'll then need to get a new one.

The Lightning Rod can be placed down in your garden to redirect lightning strikes, but not to direct them away from your crops - you should direct the strikes towards your crops. This is because any crop that has been hit by lightning gets the 'Shocked' mutation and is often worth considerably more than its base variant.

As the Lightning Rod is a 'Mythical' rarity it's not always in stock, so the best thing to do is check the shop when it refreshes every five minutes (in real time) to give yourself the best chance of getting it.
