Emmerdale is set for explosive scenes as John Sugden and Aaron Dingle prepare to tie the knot next week.

Soap watchers will recall that Aaron, played by Danny Miller, has no idea what his future husband-to-be John is capable of and the dark secrets he hides.

These include murdering Nate Robinson last year and hiding his body in the lake, terrorising Aaron's mother Chas Dingle to frame Ella Forster, causing the slurry leak at Butlers Farm to frame Mack Boyd and the truth about his comatose ex partner Aidan Moore - to name just a few.

In spoilers for next week, it's wedding day, and John is tormented by nightmares of being arrested for Nate's murder as workers dredge the lake where his body is hidden due to the slurry leak.

When Cain Dingle reveals the dredging has begun, a panicked John starts packing to flee. However, Aaron catches him mid-escape but is reassured it's just pre-wedding jitters.

Yet, the moment Aaron leaves, John continues packing and drives away from the village. Whilst hiding near the lake, John receives a loving text from Aaron and, upon seeing the dredging has been cancelled, confirms he'll proceed with the wedding.

However, his plans are thrown into chaos when Cathleen, Aidan's mother, arrives with news her son has awakened from his coma and is asking for John.
