Dolphins Predicted to Land Haul in Tyreek Hill Trade
May 23, 2025
There have been plenty of rumors surrounding a potential Tyreek Hill trade. With the Miami Dolphins star initially saying, "I'm out, bro." after the 2024 season, then later refuting an idea of a trade, there is plenty of smoke surrounding Hill being traded.
In an article from Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report, the Dolphins are predicted to land a haul for Hill in a trade. Sobleski predicts that the Dolphins will get back a second-round pick and a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft for Hill.
"The Dolphins won't get anywhere near what they originally sent to the Kansas City Chiefs for Hill (a first-round pick, a second-round pick, two fourth-round picks, and a sixth-round pick)," Sobleski wrote. "However, the chance to clear his contract and no longer have to worry about how invested he is from one day to the next could be a net positive."
With Hill being 31 years old, a team acquiring Hill likely wouldn't give up a first-rounder to get him. Hill is coming off a down year, where he had just 959 receiving yards, the lowest in his career since 2019, and 6 touchdowns, tied for the lowest in his career.
Hill is also under contract through the 2027 season, though a team would likely have to give him a new deal. His cap hit in 2026 is $51 million, while his 2027 cap hit is just $12 million. If traded, his new team would likely move some of that money around for cap relief.
