Latest Manchester United transfer news with an update on Marcus Rashford's future
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is prepared to adjust his annual fee to 'facilitate his registration' to secure his dream move to Barcelona this summer, according to the latest reports from Spain.
The 27-year-old's future at Old Trafford is uncertain after returning from a successful loan at Aston Villa. He scored six goals and provided four assists in 17 matches after signing for Unai Emery's side in January.
Villa have a £40million option-to-buy agreed as part of the loan deal but their failure to qualify for the Champions League has cast doubt over that move. Instead, the Villains are said to be plotting a move for Alejandro Garnacho.
Reports have suggested that Ruben Amorim is set to hold talks with Rashford over his future. A fractious relationship emerged between Rashford and Amorim before he left United to sign for Villa.
However, Rashford's first-choice destination was indeed Barcelona. Now, the England international is determined to make a move to the Catalan region happen, and he has made strides to complete a summer move.
According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Rashford is prepared to 'adjust his considerable annual salary' to secure a move to Barcelona. At this point, Hansi Flick's side would be unable to register him due to financial restrictions. But that could change, especially as Rashford has made it clear he would like to join Barcelona this summer.
