BIGBANG member G-Dragon and the former After School member Lee Jooyeon have again sparked dating rumours. This is the fifth time when fans have linked the duo since 2017 because of a social media post uploaded by Lee.

Addressing the rising rumours, G-Dragon's agency, Galaxy Corporation issued a formal statement on June 6, 2025. "We would like to clarify that the recent dating rumors involving G-Dragon and Lee Jooyeon, which continue to circulate, are not true," the agency clarified. With this, they shut down the speculation that was gaining momentum online.The build-up of these rumours started when Lee posted a selfie with her cat, which caught the attention of the netizens.

Lee Jooyeon's photo showed herself with her cat and some netizens were quick enough to notice the similarity between her cat's necklace and G-Dragon's cat's necklace. They also claimed that the interior of the house posted by Lee was very similar to that of G-Dragon's. The resemblance in the house's interiors and the stylish accessory on the cat started all the social media buzz with fans commenting on Lee's selfie.

However, this was not the first time the duo was facing dating rumours. The popular pairing of G-Dragon and Lee Jooyeon has garnered attention since 2017. They addressed the dating speculations and cleared that they were just good friends, and not involved romantically. The dating rumours then resurfaced three more times, twice in 2019 and once more when reports claimed that the two were spotted on a vacation on Jeju island. Each time, the pair maintained their statements of being friends and nothing more than that.
