As the years pass by, many released anime end up getting lost. Whether it's getting dropped by streaming services or banned, this often makes the series or movies unable to be viewed in legal ways. In the Funimation and Crunchyroll merge that happened a few years ago, many beloved anime films were lost in the transition. Most of what was lost in the merge was Funimation's digital copies of many anime, therefore making many of them lose access to a ton of titles.

Other anime also simply never got picked up by any service, nor have any stores selling any DVD or Blu-Ray copies of the film. Censorship is quite different nowadays too, and anime that were deemed watchable back then might not fit today's standards. This has sometimes left anime banned in certain countries. When an anime is blocked in a ton of countries, this often leaves them left in the dust and forgotten.

Kubikiri Cycle: Aoiro Savant to Zaregoto Tsukai follows the story of Iria Akagami, who is stuck in a mansion on an isolated island called Wet Crow's Feather Island. With only a few maids to socialize with, Iria takes it upon herself to invite several geniuses to the island for entertainment. Everything goes awry though, when one of them is found brutally murdered. This turns the anime from an idyllic vacation to one straight out of a horror story. Although the murder mystery is an important part of Kubikiri Cycle: Aoiro Savant to Zaregoto Tsukai, this anime has more than just a murder mystery story to tell viewers.
