‘I watched’ – Scott Allan excited by transfer deal Celtic are about to get done for ‘adaptable’ star
Jun 16, 2025
Celtic’s summer transfer window is starting to motor.
Brendan Rodgers’ side finished the 2024/25 campaign in disappointment after Aberdeen beat Celtic in the Scottish Cup final.
Overall, the season was outstanding, and now, Celtic are starting to get the ball rolling, with the 2025 summer transfer window officially open on June 16.
One name has already been confirmed, and that’s the return of Kieran Tierney, as he adds some much-needed quality to the left-hand side.
But now, the champions of Scotland are about to add a player to their ranks who can operate on both flanks.
Watching Celtic transfer target Benjamin Nygren in action
With Jota out injured for the long term, it has left Celtic in a spot of bother, so they have turned to Benjamin Nygren from FC Nordsjælland for some assistance.
Scott Allan has stated that, knowing how Celtic operate in the market, this deal should pretty much get wrapped up.
The former Celtic midfielder also told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, after watching Nygren in action, he reckons Rodgers has an ‘adaptable’ star amongst his ranks.
“I would like to think so (Celtic will have this deal wrapped up),” said Allan. “You know that Celtic, over the years, have had that Swedish connection. A lot of players have come from there and done really well at the club.
