Albert Ojwang: Photo of Blogger’s Widow Holding Son During Mass Breaks Hearts
Jul 2, 2025
A photo of Albert Ojwang's widow, Nevnina Ojwang, holding her son during her late hubby's requiem mass has touched hearts.
Ojwang's memorial mass was held at Ridgeways Baptist Church.
The family was seen wailing before the mass as they viewed Ojwang's body.
They then proceeded to the mass, where Nevnina was seen holding her son, the young Albert Junior.
She was seated next to her mother-in-law and some family members.
The little boy looked oblivious to what was happening. Nevnina had revealed that her son did not know about his father's demise.
During her speech, she wondered how she would carry on with life after they laid her husband to rest.
What did the family spokesperson say?
The family spokesperson, Kenneth Ouma, asked the police to share what happened to Ojwang.
He compared Ojwang's case to that of the late MP Ong'ondo Were, who was assassinated.
Auma questioned whether the justice system worked for only a select few.
"What really happened to Albert? The police should come out clearly. Right now, the matter is in court. Just the other day, it has hardly been a month between the death of Ong'ondo Were and Ojwang. Maybe the courts need to do more. Maybe the justice systems are for the select few. Maybe Ojwang was among the bloggers that needed to be assassinated, and they succeeded but the eye of God is never closed... thank you for all who have come to mourn with us," he said.
