The 25 Strongest Attack on Titan Characters By the End of the Series, Ranked
Jul 2, 2025
Attack on Titan characters portrayed in the anime are complex with complicated pasts, yet they all significantly impact the story. Whether it was someone as small as the merchant blocking the wall gate in Season 1 or Ymir, whose big reveal flipped the story upside down, they played an important part in the narrative. AoT characters may be one of the most talked about in the community, but one of the most common debates in the fandom is: who is the strongest Attack on Titan character?
Since there's an array of characters with different levels of strength in the series, it isn't easy to declare a clear winner with certainty. Despite several fan-favorite characters not making it through the entire story, the ones who survived underwent a transformation that made them stronger than they initially were. Since the anime has ended, fans can determine which characters are truly the strongest in the franchise.
Updated on July 2, 2025, by Ajay Aravind: Although widely considered a part of the Shonen genre, Attack on Titan is more akin to a dark fantasy with heavy Seinen elements. Characters are killed and eaten right before the viewer's eyes, painting a rather morbid picture. While several people gain special powers throughout the series, they don't always use those abilities for the good of humankind. Additionally, some of them are strong enough to fight entire battalions on their own. As such, this list was updated with five more of the most powerful Attack on Titan characters.
