Does 'Jurassic World Rebirth' Have an End-Credits Scene?
Jul 3, 2025
has finally stomped into theaters, and launched a new chapter in the Jurassic World franchise. Not only does it boast a new director in Rogue One's Gareth Edwards and a new threat in the form of horrific mutant dinosaurs, but it features an entirely new cast headlined by and Jonathan Bailey. Jurassic World Rebirth also doesn't have an end-credits sequence, meaning that for the first time in a long time the Jurassic franchise is up in the air — or at least until the box office receipts lead Universal to develop another sequel. But while Jurassic World Rebirth doesn't tease any sequels in its ending or end credits, it turns out that its stand-alone nature is by design.
‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Provides A Stand-Alone Story
Most of Jurassic World Rebirth is dedicated to mercenary Zora Bennett (Johansson) leading a team that includes her old friend Duncan (Ali) and paleontologist Henry Loomis (Bailey) on a mission to secure biological samples from three different dinosaurs at the behest of a pharmaceutical company. That mission goes south thanks to a civilian family being shipwrecked, not to mention an island full of dinosaurs — and the mutated abominations lurking in the shadows. Surprisingly, unlike the previous Jurassic World movies, Rebirth doesn't lean heavily on characters from past films or set up events for a sequel. A large part of that is probably due to the speedy production process, which Gareth Edwards discussed on IndieWire's Filmmaker Toolkit podcast:
