Maurice Samuel Oluwaseun, professionally known as Maurice Sam, is a prominent Nigerian actor, model, DJ, and social media influencer. Known for his charisma, striking screen presence, and romantic lead roles, he has emerged as one of Nollywood’s most adored modern actors.

Maurice Sam was born on March 12, 1990, in Nsit Ibom, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He is of Igbo descent and is the eldest of three siblings. His family relocated to Lagos, where he spent most of his childhood.

His father, Mr. Samuel, runs a logistics business, while his mother, Mrs. Grace, is a homemaker. Maurice’s brother, Daniel, works as a freelance graphic designer, and his sister, Esther, manages a fashion brand in Lekki.

Maurice attended the prestigious King’s College, Lagos, for his secondary education, where he developed a love for performance through drama club activities. He later earned a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in 2012. To refine his acting skills, he also took acting courses at a local theater workshop.

Maurice began his acting journey in church drama groups, performing in biblical plays that showcased his natural talent. Inspired by Nollywood legends like Ramsey Nouah, he pursued auditions in Lagos. After numerous rejections, his breakthrough came in 2016 with the popular TV series “Hustle” on Africa Magic, where he played the role of Acid.
