More than three years after spontaneously marrying in a courthouse ceremony, NFL player Nephi Sewell and his wife, Maddie Sewell, celebrated their wedding on a bigger scale with all their friends and family.
The New Orleans Saints linebacker, 26, and Maddie — who share son Ziah, 2, and daughter Irie Aroha, 1 — held their long-awaited celebration on Friday, July 11, at the Siempre resort in Draper, Utah. They were joined by 250 guests for the occasion, including the groom's two brothers, fellow NFL players Penei and Noah Sewell.
Maddie tells PEOPLE the wedding — which was planned by Irene Katzias of Irene + Co Events — was "the party we’ve all been waiting for."
"Since we’ve already been married and built our life as a family, this celebration wasn’t about starting over. It was about finally getting to share our story with everyone we love," she says.
