Patrick Matachi, a student at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST), sadly died.

The young man had just finished his studies and was about to graduate when he died tragically. On social media, the JOOUST community, friends and fellow students expressed their deep sorrow and hailed Patrick as a committed comrade and man of faith.

Patrick Matachi was a Bachelor of Science in Education (Mathematics and Physics) student.

The young man, who had recently completed his studies and was set to graduate before the end of the year, reportedly fell from a storey building and landed on a protruding nail.

According to JOOUST Media, Patrick experienced serious bleeding from the incident, which ultimately resulted in his death.

He was on site when he fell from a storey structure and accidently came into contact with a nail, resulting in extensive bleeding and his untimely death.

Patrick's friends and classmates at the Siaya County University mourned him while reliving their last recollections of him at school.
